We had a strong showing from Team Spike Hyzer at the 27th Pro Dogwood Crosstown this weekend! Justin Jernigan came in 2nd, just 2 strokes behind Cam Todd after shooting a HOT 45 in the final round at Zebulon. Terry Gallops also showed up big shooting an even HOTTER 44 to tie Geoff Bennett and world class player Brian Schweberger for 5th. WAY TO GO TEAM SPIKE HYZER!

Both members of Team Spike Hyzer started out the first round at Cedar Hills with a solid 49 allowing them both to go into the second round contending for the lead card. Justin followed up with a 50 still keeping his eye on the lead card and first place while Terry slipped a little by shooting a 52, but still leaving himself in cash contention. On the second day at Zebulon, JJ continued to keep the pressure on the top of the leader board by shooting a 48 in the third round. Terry still continued to struggle carding another 52, slipping a little more, but could still be in contention for cash if he could put together a good closing round. The fourth round is where both members of Team Spike Hyzer put it together. JJ kept the momentum rolling by shooting a 45 to close within 2 strokes of former world champ Cam Todd, taking sole possession of second place. As hot as JJ’s fourth round was, Terry’s was even hotter! Terry shot a weekend best 44 at Zebulon catapulting him up the leader board to tie him in 5th place with Brian Schweberger and Geoff Bennett, giving Team Spike Hyzer 2 of the top 5 finishing spots in the Pro Dogwood.

Way to go GUYS! We look forward to seeing more of your exploits in the future of professional disc golf!
