If you go to the SpikeHyzer website you can pre pay with your debit card or credit card. The field is limited to 216 people and while this event has a slim chance of filling up, preregistration helps maintain organization and allows us to follow schedule and tee off on time. THIS EVENT IS OPEN TO ANY AND ALL THAT WANTS TO ATTEND!

The Sneeky Pete Classic will be the same format as it has been in the past and will be on October 15 &16. There will be 3 courses in play, Cedarrock, Well Springs and Rock Creek. All divisions will play all three courses and all divisions and all participants will play 4 full rounds of golf. Remember! This is your yearly chance to play the much anticipated temp course, Rock Creek.

There will be lunch available on both days for the event. Jersey Mikes Subs will be offering lunch on Saturday. The subs will be $7 and will come with chips and a drink. YOU MUST PREPAY SATURDAY MORNING if you want Jersey Mikes for lunch! Moe’s Southwest Grill will be offering a fajita bar for lunch on Sunday. The fajita bar will be $8 and include 2 fresh made fajitas, chips, cookies and a sweet tea. Please support the vendors if you are able. Support to vendors at these events helps show the value of the disc golfer to our sponsors and potential sponsors. You THE DISC GOLFER are the most important influence we have on our sponsors.

For those of you needing lodging there are several motels close by or you can join in on the fun with the golfers that will be camping at Cedarrock park during the weekend of the event. Camping costs $10 per group. A group rate is for 10 people with $1 per person in a group over 10. To qualify for the group rate you must check in at the park office. It would help for the whole group to check in at the same time so that they can make sure to get all of the info necessary. From what I understand they will need some vehicle info with your campground reservation. For more info on camping contact Jonathan Owens at 336-266-4090.

Those of you competing in the SpikeHyzer Championship Points Race, your calling has finally come. The top 4 points earners from each conference will compete to be crowned CHAMPION of their division! The following people have qualified in their respective divisions:

The Prizes for the conference champions as well as the prizes for the championship will be given out during the awards ceremony at the Sneeky Pete Classic.
The “Tour Championship” is a “side game” in the Sneeky Pete Classic. The above people mentioned are the only ones that will be competing for the Tour Championship. With that being said I do want to once again stress that THE SNEEKY PETE CLASSIC IS OPEN TO ANYBODY WHO WANTS TO PLAY provided you register before the event fills up! The Sneeky Pete Classic will also have the regular payout for each division and all competing will be eligible to win divisional payout from the tournament based on your final scores. For those of you competing in the Tour Championship, you will be competing against the other qualifiers in your division. Whichever person in your division has the lowest score for the weekend will win the Tour Champoinship in your division and the respective prize and trophy.
On another note, a pair of glasses was found in the parking lot at OT Sloan this weekend when we were wrapping up the PDGA event. If you lost some glasses please contact me and we will work out a way to get them back to you.

The event will be held at the public course in Yadkin County and the Yadkin County Disc Golf Club has taken this course a long way. They put the finishing touches on it last year by installing concrete tee pads on all 18 holes. This challenging course is sure to make the tail end of the Western Conference Points series very interesting to say the least. Make sure to register for this event quickly! The past two Spike Hyzer events have filled in less than 2 weeks.

This is the second year of this wonderful event at one of the best “NC HomeGrown” courses. Designed by Carlton Howard, this course is challenging for all skill levels and gets better every year.

Sharon and Kerry Hawkins are eagerly anticipating the upcoming annaul second Tar River Round Up on June 18 & 19, 2011. Once again the stellar private course is opening it’s arms to welcome the PDGA world to a competitive weekend of uninterpreted disc golf. Come out to this event that is growing in popularity, not only because of the “Hawkin’s Hospitality” but also because you can compete on a quality course without public park distractions. Make sure to pre register for this event promptly! This event is limited to 90 competitors and has a very strong possibility of filling up before game day.

Once again it is looking like the weather is going to be better than awesome. This is the inaugural event for Rocky Mount and they are stepping up to the plate in a big way! The Travel and Tourism committee of Nash County has added $2000 to the event purse. With the $500 already put up by Spike Hyzer and Moe’s Southwest Grill this is sure to be a rich event for all. Remember AMATEUR players, 30% of the added money goes towards AMATEUR payout! That is $750 in prize money divided among the AMATEUR divisions.

As if the deal could not get any sweeter it DOES! Moe’s Southwest Grill will be providing FREE Fajitas for lunch on Saturday for the first 115 competitors that register for the event. So if you have not pre registered make sure to do so now! There are only 23 MEAL TICKETS LEFT!!! Saturday’s lunch will be served at Sunset Park. To make things even easier for you, Moe’s will be taking “box lunch” orders on Saturday for Sunday delivery. The box lunch will cost around $6 and the orders and money will be collected during Saturday’s lunch. On Sunday, lunch will be delivered to your respective course. If you want lunch on Sunday make sure to bring your money to lunch on Saturday to pre pay for Sunday’s lunch. LUNCH WILL ONLY BE SERVED SUNDAY TO THOSE THAT PRE PAY!

ALL CONTESTANTS MUST CHECK IN/REGISTER AT SUNSET PARK ON SATURDAY MORNING BY 9:00 A.M. After the players meeting you will be directed to the course that you will be playing. Pre payment is not required to pre register. If you want to pre register for the event send me an email with your NAME, PDGA NUMBER (if you have one) and YOUR DIVISION. I will sign you up and you can pay Saturday morning at Sunset Park.

We will be having a player’s party on Saturday evening immediately following round 2. While we have not 100% solidified the location of the player’s party, I strongly encourage you to attend in one fashion or another. Even if it is just for a beer or appetizer, show up and support the player’s party. This is a GREAT way of showing appreciation to the town that has given this event so much. The more support we give them today, the more support we will get from them tomorrow. The location of the player’s party will be in your caddy book that will be issued during registration Saturday.

For those of you competing in the points race this is a MUST ATTEND event! The points race is close in all divisions and with the larger fields a lot of points are up for the taking.
