The Luther Britt Win or Swim II is being moved up this year from June to May. The event will be held on May 22 and 23 at Luther Britt Park in Lumberton, NC. This is the first of the 3 “B” tier PDGA events that Spike Hyzer will be organizing. With this being the first of the 3 events attendance, is a must if you want to participate the in the Moe’s Southwest Grill Points Race. Of course one of the more exciting features of this event as well as the other Spike Hyzer PDGA events is that there will be added cash not only to the pro divisions, but the am divisions as well.
2009 was the inaugural season of the Luther Britt Win or Swim as well as the first PDGA event run by Chuck “Chuckster” Connelly. The field seemed pleased with the play of the course and the rewarding payout at the end of the tournament. Playing around 2 large lakes and with the “X” hole making it’s fabled return to Luther Britt Park, this course will once again challenge players of all skill levels. The event was held last year in June and the heat was intense on the open course, which was the deciding factor in moving the date to May.
To pre register you can go to the PDGA website follow the prompt next to the tournament listing on the PDGA schedule to register online. You can also find a form on the Luther Britt Win or Swim II registration page that can be printed up and mailed in. Don’t forget, for each event you pre register in you will be entered in a drawing to win a cooler competition bag. Drawing will be held at the end of the Sanford Slingers Spring Sling III.
