While Tar River is no stranger to disc golf tournaments, this is the first time a PDGA event will be held at this wonderful course.  Since it’s conception in 1997 Kerry “Hawk” Hawkins and wife Sherry have had dreams of hosting a PDGA event at their fine establishment.  For those of you that have not played Tar River, this is a golden opportunity to enjoy THE premier HomeGrown course of the Carolinas on June 26th & 27th.

As with all of the events on the Spike Hyzer Developmental PDGA Tour, this will be a “B” tier tournament with  the raised cash being divided between the open and amateur divisions.  This course is by far the most challenging of the 3 courses on the tour this year as well as the most diversified.  Don’t let the private nature of this course fool you!  Residing on almost 30 acres of land, the FAIRways on this course will make any public course green with envy.

Remember to pre register for this and every Spike Hyzer PDGA Developmental Tour event.  For each event you pre register for, your name will be entered into a drawing to win a Cooler Competition Bag.  You pre register for all 3 events, you get 3 entries into the drawing!  The drawing will be held before the awards ceremony at OT Sloan in October  to determine the winner of  the Cooler Competition Bag.
